exlibris

Love calligraphy, art, books, history? The study of EX LIBRIS (bookplates), miniature fine art prints designed to declare book ownership, has it all. Join us for JoAnn Pari-Mueller’s presentation of beautiful examples from the 1700′s to the present and learn to tell your etching and engraving from your woodcut, lithograph, and serigraph. Attendees will be eligible for a drawing for several nice ex libris donated by JoAnn.

JoAnn Pari-Mueller is a PSC member, a retired RN, a watercolorist, a sustainer docent at the Portland Art Museum, and an avid collector of fine art prints. She has mounted several exhibits and given numerous public talks on ex libris and traveled the world to meet with other artists and collectors.

inkworks-postcard-1-1PSC member Diane Flack has a show of her work in the Streff Gallery at Marylhurst University during November and December. This show includes block prints, acrylics, small artist books, hand-made leather books and cards perfect for Christmas gifts. Streff Gallery hours are M-Th 8:30 am – 10 pm; Fri & Sat 8:30 am – 6 pm; Sunday 11 am – 7 pm.
